The Capricorn Coast’s latest public mural is wrapping the toilets at Farnborough Beach’s Rotary Park in a joyful splash of colour.

It’s the work of Youth Arts Yeppoon, run by Capricorn Coast artist and teacher Lee-Ann Handley, with support from the Livingstone Shire Council’s Placemaking project and Vicki Van Der Meer from Lady of the Lake Signs.

At the first public workshop in January, plain grey and white walls bloomed with ocean and sky, seagulls and pelicans, fishing figures, mermaids, and even a friendly German Shepherd.

They’ll pick up where they left off at the next workshop, this Sunday (Feb 10) from 10am. It’s free, and all materials are provided.
