Peta Lloyd is one of four artists from around the state picked for Flying Arts' winter exhibition at Brisbane's Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts.

Peta, recently part of the fascinating ReCollection exhibition, will be featured alongside Nicola Hooper, Gemma Garcia-Roman and Ann Russell.

Their small scale three dimensional works will be on show in the foyer and on level 2 of the Judy until the end of August.

The Queensland Chamber Orchestra is debuting a newly commissioned piece from an emerging composer in Gladstone this week.

Camerata features a mix of contemporary and classical music, and is coming to the Gladstone Entertainment & Convention Centre on Wednesday (June 6) as part of the orchestra’s regional Queensland tour.

The show includes the world premiere of new work from emerging composer Isabella Gerometta, commissioned by the orchestra and funded by the Tim Fairfax Family Foundation

While the QCO is in town, they'll also be working with local school groups and musicians and putting on a concert for aged care residents.  About 100 local musicians and students, and local choir groups, will also be part of Camerata itself.

South in Bundaberg, country singer-songwriter Craig Lamond is preparing to launch his debut album One On The Up in July.  He's been working with producer Rob Mackay (one half of The Bobkatz) at Mackay's studio Pacific International to finesse this album, that draws heavily on Lamond's family history and stories.
